Opt-in – the new tournament function at Vera&John

We know how much you love your tournaments. After all, what’s not to love?! They’re fun, in real-time, they’ve got different mechanics, and of course, wonderful prizes! So, we threw our thinking caps on, and got to working on improving our Tournament feature…

Behold, the Opt-in feature! With this new Opt-in button, you’ll be able to keep track of the tournaments you’re participating in or previously opted into, as well as your leaderboard position and reward.

When selecting a game from the game lobby that happens to be in an active tournament, you’ll receive a prompt to either participate in the tournament or decline. If you select the Participate button, a message will confirm that you’re in the tournament and you may proceed to compete in the tournament. If you select the Decline button, you may go on to play any of the games in the tournament without actually competing in the tournament. But don’t worry, you’ll still be able to select the ‘Participate’ button should you change your mind at a later stage during the tournament period.

Tournament types

There’s not just one type of tournament at Vera&John. No sir, we’ve got plenty! Allow us to explain the many ways you could win with our tournaments.

Total Wager tournaments: the players with the highest total wagers will feature in the top spots on the leaderboard. Every $1.00 you accumulate will help you on your journey up the leaderboard.

Most Game Rounds tournaments: the players with the highest number of spins throughout the whole tournament will occupy the highest places on the leaderboard.

Consecutive Pay Factor tournaments: the players with the best payout over a certain number of consecutive rounds will win prizes from the tournament prize pool.

Free Spin tournaments: players purchase a ticket to the tournament from the Loyalty Shop, and use their received Free Spins to participate in the tournament. The players with the largest total win amount from their Free Spins will take up the top leaderboard spots, and take home the best prizes.

Our Loyalty Program is getting an upgrade!

We’ve been working on a completely new way to reward you for playing at VJ, and we’re super excited to announce that our new Loyalty Program is almost here! Soon it’s going to come sailing over the horizon like a big saily thing. But until it does, let’s talk about what that means for our old Loyalty Program.

On August 31st we’ll wrap up our current Loyalty Program and Loyalty Shop. That does mean that coins will be going away, but until then you should make the most of any coin balance you currently have while you still can. to splash out on that bonus you’ve had your eye on!

The new Loyalty Shop should be up on site on September 1st. There may be hiccups, but we hope there won’t be too many, and for most people the experience should be completely seamless!

Will there be levels?

Yep! We’ve cut the levels down from 50 (too many) to 7 (just right!). We’ve worked things out so that most players will be able to hit the higher levels in a fairly short space of time. Even a completely new player could potentially go all the way from level 1 to 7 in their first month, depending on their gameplay!

And you might not start at level 1, either! Based on your account activity prior to launch, we’ll determine at which level you’ll start, so you can hit the ground running! Which brings us to…

How do I get to the next level?

Every cash bet you make – win or lose – will contribute towards your progress to the next level. Simples!

What do I get when I achieve a new level?

Just like the old Loyalty Program, your level determines the range of goodies you can find waiting for you in the Loyalty Shop. Achieving a higher level also comes with a few extra perks in the form of better offers, bigger bonuses with better wagering, and more besides!

You’ll get all the benefits and perks of your new level as soon as you level up, and you’ll get to keep them for at least one full calendar month.

Coins might be going away, but we’re not dumping the idea of currency altogether. Instead you’ll earn Credits when you make cash bets. While you’re climbing up the levels, you’ll also gather credits you can use to buy items from the shop.

Will the Loyalty Shop change?
It’s going to mostly stay the same. Mostly. With fewer levels, there should be a little more of everything to go around. You’ll even be able to buy Bonus Cash items with 1x wagering at some levels! And items will be refreshed and updated once a month, and available for a whole month so you’ll have enough time to reach the level you need to be to buy that thing you’ve set your eyes upon!
